- Associate's Degree or
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Coursework/Training: Breastfeeding educator, counselor, or support course completed as well as other requirements for eligibility to sit for the IBCLC exam.
- California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- IBCLC certified, or ability to sit for exam within 1 year or employment within this position upon hire.
- 2 years of Experience in perinatal nursing, perinatal education, or counseling postpartum breastfeeding women in a hospital setting.
- Experience supporting breastfeeding and infant nutrition in NICU and outpatient setting.

Description
Job DescriptionProvide perinatal education to prenatal and postpartum patients. Provide education about infant nutrition support and education to staff and all families regardless of the feeding method chosen. Provide Lactation Consultation and education for breastfeeding mother in the inpatient and outpatient settings at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. Provides assessment, care planning, implementation support and follow up evaluation to all clients. Manage the outpatient education program to ensure we are meeting our community's needs.
