    Description

    We are looking for a talented Project Architect to join our team at WSP in Chicago, IL!

    Be part of our Buildings Team and contribute to a dynamic organization focused on achieving our client's goals and overcoming challenges.

    • Provide local technical support for building projects in the public and private sector.
    • Assist in visualizing projects, preparing drawings, budgets, and design proposals.
    • Produce accurate drawings and documentation following industry standards.

    Your role:

    • Support project managers in developing design concepts.
    • Lead design teams through all project phases.
    • Execute architectural tasks as assigned.
    • Support project documentation and building system development.
    • Conduct research on materials and products.
    • Lead project meetings and coordinate with consultants.
    • Oversee construction documentation and ensure code compliance.
    • Provide administrative support during construction.
    • Complete other project-related tasks as needed.

    Requirements:

    • BArch or BS/BA in Architecture.
    • 5-7 years of architecture experience designing various building typologies.
    • Experience with transportation projects is a plus.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam.

    Additional skills:

    • Knowledge of Powerpoint, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max.
    • Desire to develop leadership and management skills.
    • Experience in construction documentation and technical design.
    • Strong analytical and communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate technical ideas effectively.
