About the jobDIRECTOR OF CLINICAL SERVICES - Ambulatory Surgery Center
We offer an exciting opportunity to become Director of our new ambulatory surgery center (ASC), MidAmerica Spine Center located in St Louis County.
MidAmerica Spine Center is a multi-specialty surgery center focused on spine and interventional pain management surgeries and minimally invasive procedures.
This center offers 2 operating rooms and 1 procedure room and planned out in an very operationally efficient and easy to work floorplan for staff to work.
MidAmerica Spine Center is privately owned and will be syndicated to offer further growth in the center.As the Director of Clinical Services, your role will be to:
Assist with the hiring of clinical staff
Oversee maintaining CMS certification and accreditation
Oversee training of staff
Oversee purchasing all medical supplies and necessary equipment
Oversee and manage the day-to-day clinical operations
Oversee and supervise charge nurse in management of the clinical staff including the staff scheduling
Manage the clinical staff credentialing and HR files
Oversee and supervise the materials management and case costing for the ASC
Keep the ASC in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations as well as the accrediting organization's guidelines.
Ensure compliance to the ASCs Policies and Procedures to follow nationally recognized organizations like AORN, CDC, WHO, AAMI, etc. Assist with ongoing revisions to the P&Ps
Manage all the Life Safety Code compliance logs as well as other Quality Assurance monitoring and log sheets per regulatory agency guidelines
Assist in presenting to the Governing Body Quarterly Meetings in coordination with the Director of Operations
Work hours of operation will be 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday
QUALIFICATIONS
Missouri RN license that is in good standing, BSN required.
Surgical nursing experience; spine and pain experience would be ideal
Prior or existing ambulatory surgery center experience
Director level management experience in surgery center or hospital HOPD
Knowledge and prior experience overseeing or managing regulatory compliance ie: state licensure and survey process, Medicare and accreditation survey process
Experience with Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement
Team builder
Understanding of employment law for a small business such as a surgery center
