This quality engineer position will ensure product andprocess producibility is optimized through: Reduced Costs, Improved Quality,Effective Corrective action, Reduced Cycle Times, and Process Capability.

Our facility in Gardena isa leading global supplier of large stretch formed aircraft skins, hot formingof titanium, superplastic forming and complex fastened and welded assemblies.
Job Summary
Perform Engineering and Quality tasks requiring knowledgeand experience of engineering principles, theories, and concepts as applied tomanufacturing and tooling throughout the product cycle.
Essential Functions
Develops solutions to a wide range of technical problems relatedto the product being manufactured at Ducommun.
Develops monitors and analyzes product/process trend data and ortooling/manufacturing & inspection techniques to optimize performanceand minimize product and process variability and associated productioncosts.
Provides support for the MRR system including submittingnon-conforming parts to the customer and working with other departments todevelop root cause and corrective action plans necessary to reduce: Scrap,Rework and Repair costs.
Coordinates /Monitorsresults necessary to validate improvements.
Coordinates with respective customers, vendors, and subcontractorson technical issues.
Develops product quality plans and inspection methodologies; makesmodifications to existing procedures, production processes and inspectiontechniques.

2-3 years' experience with a bachelor's degree in a relateddiscipline.
Experience in aircraft manufacturing - Metal forming & NCMachining
Experience in blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning &tolerancing
Salary Range:
$80,000 to $110,000
