    Description
    Position: Senior Geologist- Delaware and Williston Basins

    Overview
    • As a Senior Geologist, you'll lead our exploration and production efforts across significant oil and gas assets, particularly in the Delaware and Williston Basins.
    • You will lead a team with decisive decision making on drilling and development to divestitures and mergers.
    Responsibilities
    • Drilling Operations: Oversee the planning, drilling, and completion of extensive lateral wells, contributing to significant increases in production rates.
    • Operational Excellence: Collaborate with the drilling department to optimize operations, reducing drill days through innovative practices in seismic processing and well design, achieving notable cost savings.
    • Reporting & Forecasting- Prepare and present detailed subsurface updates and geoscience budget forecasts, aligning with corporate objectives and financial planning.
    • Strategic Exploration & Development: Spearhead the de-risking of additional benches across asset areas, significantly enhancing our inventory and development plans.
    • Evaluation & Optimization: Conduct comprehensive geological, reservoir, and risk evaluations for over 20 divestiture packages, ensuring strategic decisions are data-driven.
    • Regulatory & Environmental Compliance: Manage the planning and permitting processes for acid gas injection facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and supporting sustainable development.
    Must Haves
    • Proven track record of leading teams in Williston Basin high-stakes environments, focusing on innovation and efficiency.
    • Expertise in geological software and data analysis tools.
    • 10+ years of experience in oil and gas exploration and production, strongly emphasizing shale plays and the Delaware Basin.
    • Strong communication skills, articulating complex geological concepts to non-specialists and senior management.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
    • Bachelor of Science in Geology or a related field.
    Location: Houston Area (Required travel to field sites)
