    Position Summary

    Responsible for supporting the manufacture of aerospace gears, gearboxes, and associated hardware by following and executing all written instructions related to the non-automated deburring, as well as standard edge breaks, specifically dimensioned edge breaks and polishing.

    Essential Functions

    · Ability to perform precise deburring

    · Read, understand and follow process instructions

    · Inspect work efficiently

    · Identify visually non-conforming product and report to supervisor

    · Maintain a clean and organized work station

    · Operate with a sense of urgency while always focusing on safety

    · Communicate effectively with management and employees

    · Excellent attitude and teamwork

    Experience and Education

    · A minimum of 2 years of work experience in an OEM aerospace deburring

    · Reasonable mechanical aptitude

    · High school diploma or equivalent required

    · Certificate from vocational school or college program is a plus

    Competencies and Skills

    · Extreme attention to detail

    · Ability to safely use high speed hand deburring tools

    · Skilled with basic hand deburring tools

    · Ability to work with magnification and enhanced lighting instruments

    · Ability to utilize basic inspection tools including thread and cylindrical go, no-go and calipers

    · Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions

    · Results-driven

    · Very basic computer literacy

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Compensation

    $ $100000 / year

    Compensation is paid hourly and may be adjusted based on level of experience, overtime and shift.
