Job summary

Provides educational support and clinical expertise to respiratory clients ensuring compliance with regulatory issues related to respiratory services assists with new respiratory services to meet changing patient populations needs educates the community referral sources and payers regarding services available.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains individual care plans orders and other components of the client record ensuring compliance with Joint Commission CMS and department medical record policies.
• Provides instruction to patientscaregivers regarding care treatment plans respiratory equipment and CPR as required teaches patients how to maintain their clinical care when to report certain signs and symptoms sets up related D.M.E.P.O.S. gives detailed instructions in proper safe use of equipment in accordance with local state federal regulation as well as Joint Commission standards assists in developing respiratory specific programs standards of care integrates problem-solving methodology quality improvement approaching problem areas patient organizational processes evaluates processes ensures conformance organization policy procedures governmental regulations investigates responds customer complaints promptly demonstrates commitment principles outstanding customer service.
