    Description
    GLO Resources is currently seeking experienced Diesel Mechanic to work locally within Laplace, La and surrounding areas.


    Schedule:
    Rotating shifts dependent on time of year and workload. Typically, Monday – Friday 7 am – 5 pm with possibly 5-8 hours on Saturday. Pay will be $30/hr. This is a temp to perm position.


    Job Overview/Responsibilities:

    • Make various adjustments, alignments, and repairs to correct any deficiencies.
    • Work on hydraulic, small gas engines, some electrical maintenance.
    • Conduct inspections, test drives and diagnostic tests to determine the condition of the vehicles or equipment.
    • Test engine safety and combustion control standards.
    • Record services and repairs to maintain accurate records.
    • Complete preventative maintenance, install part upgrades, and control corrosion.
    • Follow operating instruction, troubleshoot breakdowns, maintain supplies, perform preventative maintenance, and call for repairs to keep shop equipment operational.
    • Place orders and keep stock of inventory to ensure necessary supplies at hand.
    • Collaborate with coworkers to get repairs done in a timely manner.

    Qualification:

    • Vocational training in Diesel Mechanics or equivalent experience
    • 1-3 years of experience in related field
    • Proven knowledge of engine components
    • Strong communication and customer service skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Follow instructions
    • Documentation skills are an advantage
    • Inventory control is an advantage
    • The ability to foster relationships with coworkers and customers is an advantage
