    Our client manufactures complex, close tolerance and precision-machined componenets and assemblies for applications in aerospace, defense and other industrial OEM's. With over 100 CNC machines that perform milling, turning and other functions, they are able to provide the highest quality products for their customers.

    Job Description

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the development and execution of engineering projects, from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, product management, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, resolving complex technical challenges and driving problem-solving initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans, ensuring adherence to deadlines and project milestones.
  • Implement best practices and standards for engineering processes, methodologies, and documentation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics, leveraging insights to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and ethical conduct within the engineering team.

    The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
    Proven experience (5+ years) in engineering management, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
  • Proven experience within a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Esprit, NX) and familiarity with CNC machining processes.
  • Experience with 5 axis milling machines, multi turret mill turns and swiss style lathes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly to customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
  • Experience in the aerospace is a plus
