    We are partnered with a global manufacturer in the Savannah, GA area, looking to add a Chemical Engineering Project Manager to their growing team This person will manage large capital projects from conception to completion and lead the efficient operation of existing production processes for the organization.


    This is a direct-hire/permanent position with a competitive base salary, bonus potential, and full benefits package, including health, dental, vision, 401k match, PTO, etc.

    Responsibilities:
    Responsible for the execution of large capital projects

    Determine the project's specifications by studying process design, development of material and energy balances, sizing, and specification of equipment, piping, and valves.

    Schedule preparation, pre-planning, resource forecasting, sequence of elements, and cost estimations related to the projects.
    Maintaining project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving implementation issues.
    Controlling project costs, scheduling, and planning by reviewing design, specs, and schedule changes. Ensuring the accuracy of financial and timing forecasts.
    Reviewing bids from the contractors, challenging the performances of the vendors, and administrating contractor service agreements.
    Preparing project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and recommending actions.

    Coordinate and lead the project management team to resolve project inter-discipline issues and control the overall quality of the work.

    Developing and maintaining project management database and plan. Facilitate/oversee redlining drawings.
    Lead start-up activities related to new projects and process implementations and ensured the performance standards were reached.
    Ensuring the completion of the capital project on time and within the budget.
    Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with existing processes and equipment by working with field personnel in continuous improvement efforts.
    Ensuring the project is executed per company policies, procedures, and work instructions for customized and standardized plans.
    Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by enforcing Company, Federal, and State procedures, rules, and regulations.
    Other duties as assigned.


    REQUIREMENTS:
    Bachelors Degree or Master's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering/Project Management is required.
    Minimum 10-15 years of experience in process, production, or project engineering in a manufacturing environment.
    Knowledgeable in the use of MS Project and SAP preferred.
    Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, including an orientation to team development.
    Ability to understand chemical manufacturing processes, interpret, and read blueprints and technical documents.
    Detail-oriented with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
    Organized with the ability to support multiple concurrent projects.
    Knowledge and understanding of industry codes, product safety standards, regulations, etc.
    Up to 25% travel required.
