- Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse: utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan,implement and evaluate patient care
- Is aware of physiologic and psychosocial changes in thepatient's condition
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information fromhealth care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses
- Documents the patient's plan of care using identifiednursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursinginterventions
- Identifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient carerequirements
- Performs interventions according to identified priorities,plan of care, and the hospital policies and patient care outcome standard
- Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patientenvironment
- Documents patient's response to nursing and otherinterventions
- Uses clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meetpatient care needs of and assigned unit/floor including establishing priorities
- Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment andequipment - Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
- Current Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse License in statepracticing
- Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
- Participation and completion of Maxim's Competency programwhen applicable
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site
- Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements
- Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required
- Computer proficiency required
- Must be at least 18 years of age

Travel Pay(Over 50 miles): $1,342/week
Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the licensedvocational/practical nurse medical surgical assumes responsibility andaccountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery ofpatient care.
