    Description

    PRODUCT/PROCESS ENGINEER

    General Summary:

    To strengthen the Product & Process Engineering team by using the latest technologies and best practices to support our customers' requirements.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Product development that yields a robust process and timely customer support.
    • Knowledge of and experience in design for Casting Product Development preferred.
    • Thorough knowledge of the products (Scrap rates, major causes of scrap and rework, dimensional attributes).
    • Troubleshoots process problems and provides technical support to manufacturing to ensure the on-time production of product that meet the highest quality standards at the lowest possible cost.
    • Understanding of Quality systems and Operating Procedures that define the interaction between Engineering and Operations. Engineers should "own" and promote compliance with these documents.
    • Understanding of tooling and how various tooling features affect part dimensions.
    • Ability to read and understand customer specifications and blueprints.
    • Perform PPAP and FAIR as required.
    • Create a bill of material/method of operations based on customer requirements in the ERP system.
    • Technical customer liaison
    • Technical support for manufacturing.

    REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering (or equivalent).
    • Investment Casting experience is preferred. A candidate with good technical aptitude may be trained.
    • Written and verbal communication skills to interact with shop floor and customer contacts.
    • Computer skills – Proficient in MS Office: EXCEL, WORD.
    • CAD – SolidWorks

    SPECIAL SKILLS:

    • Product Support in the Investment Casting industry.
    • Training in SPC, Problem Solving, and Analysis techniques – the ability to research and effectively resolve issues.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
    • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder').

    The Location: Bescast is in Willoughby, Ohio, close to RT-2 and RT-90.
