CPI Security in Charlotte, NC is looking to hire a Fitness Center Assistant at our headquarters office. OurFitness Center Assistantwill assist the Health and Fitness Manager with the day to day operations of our employee Fitness Center. This includes, but is not limited to supervising the facility, attending to the daily maintenance of the facility, and participating in professional development curriculum as well as various projects. Highly motivated, disciplined, and positive individuals are encouraged to apply. This person will work up to 30 hours per week between the hours of 2:00pm-7:00pm Monday-Friday with a possible Saturday morning shift from 8:00am until 12:00pm.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance to participants in the Weight Room, Cardio Rooms and other associated spaces.
Promote fitness programs to employees.
Advise participants on routine exercise questions.
Clean equipment and conduct preventative maintenance.
Conduct opening and closing procedures appropriately.
Provide proper spotting technique for weight room participants.
Work with others to execute risk reduction measures and provide care in emergency situations.
Clearly articulate, enforce and educate patrons on all rules, policies and procedures.
Provide customer service and respectfully manage disagreements.
Actively participate in collaborative work and development

Qualifications

Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field, NSCA-CSCS or related certification, and CPR/AED certification.
Previous experience in a corporate or team- environment is preferred. Must come from a fitness / training background
Hard working and really wants to learn the process and buy-in to the program
Must have at least one certification in fitness / nutrition (i.e. Precision Nutrition)
Must have flexible availability - may need to include nights and weekends occasionally
Bring a positive, helpful attitude no matter the challenge brought your way
Must be a positive, happy person by nature
Must be extremely coachable. Able to receive and implement feedback on their performance
Must love helping others and have strong communication skills
Follows through on projects without minimal supervision
