    The People Operations Senior Coordinator plays an integral part of the staff of Beau Delicious International, LLC (BDI), dba Cafe Yumm, by performing the day-to-day functions of the People Operations department for all company owned restaurants, including hiring and onboarding, terminations, performance management, benefit administration, training, and compliance.

    All team members must be familiar with and follow to the best of their ability the Purpose, Mission Statement, and Core Values.


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of team members in the department.
    • May assist with hiring, training, development of team members in the department.
    • Supports, coaches, and provides constructive feedback to People Operations team members.
    • Assists Director with all routine functions of People Operations for BDI, its Managers, Directors, and Officers.
    • Fills in during meetings, events, and day to day interaction in the absence of the Director of People Operations.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Manages the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants.
    • Collaborates with departmental managers and restaurant managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
    • Coordinates employment ads and postings for their assigned restaurants, process and track incoming employment applications, sort by pre-selected criteria, and precisely follow procedures for distribution to supervisors. Coordinate interviews, as requested. Attend periodic hiring and career fairs.
    • Assist new hires in accurately completing required onboarding tasks and accurately maintain all team member profiles electronically.
    • Positively represent the company to new hires, current team members, and business partners. Serve as a liaison to field team member comments, concerns, and complaints.
    • Assist in the coordination of timely communication and enrollment in team member benefit programs.
    • Assist with the termination and offboarding of team members to ensure compliance with final paycheck regulation and the completeness of the profile closure process.
    • Be familiar with all company policies and procedures and assist other members of the People Operations department.
    • Provide forms, policies, and Human Resource related assistance to supervisors.
    • Assist with the employment verification for team members to third parties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Track incoming information regarding team member health and safety, requests for leave of absence, team member injuries and accidents, etc.
    • Assist with managing worker's compensation claims.
    • Compile employment information for reporting and presentation purposes to.
    • Assists with company learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or officer of the company.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's Degree in business, human resources, or a related field or equivalent related work experience preferred.
    • A minimum of three years of experience in a human resources department or related experience.
    • Previous supervisory experience in human resources is preferred.
    • Experience in the Food Service or Hospitality Industry is preferred.
    • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or similar certification highly desired.
    PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Sitting/Mobility: Approximately 80% of time is spent working at a desk. Approximately 10-20% of time is spent travelling to restaurants or the business office or to other location as needed in own car.
    • Communication: Ability to effectively communicate at a high level of competency with team members, outside agencies, vendors, and business partners in writing, in person, and over the phone.
    • Vision: Ability to effectively use multiple computer screens, interpret printed materials, memos, and other appropriate paperwork.
    • Lifting/Carrying: Ability to transport files and office supplies - lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
    • Stooping/Kneeling: Ability to access files/stock supplies in low cabinets and shelves.
    • Reaching/Handling: Ability to input information into computer systems and retrieve and work with appropriate paperwork, equipment, and supplies, and ability to access files/stock supplies in high cabinets and shelves.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND PROFICIENCIES

    • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance that represents Café Yumm Mission & Values.
    • Serve as a positive role model to other team members within BDI and its company owned restaurants.
    • Ability to understand and follow regulatory compliance matters and federal and state laws. Be familiary with OR and WA employment guidelines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily in Word, Excel, and human resources information system (HRIS). Experience with Paycom is a plus.
    • Effectively work with confidential and sensitive team member information and maintain the highest degree of discretion within the industry.
    • Ability to work well under changing priorities and deadlines with frequent interruptions.
    • Possess high attention to detail.
    • Professionally and concisely communicate orally and in writing with all levels of team members and management, outside officials and agencies, and the public, expressing ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.
    • Effectively keep others informed about progress and challenges.
    • Provide ideas as they relate to smooth operations, improvements, service techniques.
    • Deliver services that are professional, timely, fair, and in a uniform manner.
    • Work cooperatively with all team members in the company to help fulfill their responsibilities.
    • Develop measurable goals and objectives to be achieved or exceeded annually and for interim periods.
    • Maintain a valid Driver's License.
