    Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is hiring a Stack Developer to join our IT team at our Cuyahoga County office in Middleburg Heights. This position will require you to work out of our Cleveland or Canton, Ohio Corporate office.

    The Stack Developer will be responsible for ongoing software development from the initial specification to development, testing, and launching while ensuring optimal performance and user experience. This role involves both back-end operations using PHP and front-end development.

    Specific Experience/Skills/Abilities:

    • 2-4 years of software development experience.
    • Proven experience as a PHP Programmer and Front-End Developer.
    • Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks (such as Laravel, CodeIgniter).
    • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
    • Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, and React is preferred.
    • Familiarity with database technology, specifically MySQL.
    • Strong experience with cPanel and web hosting services.
    • Knowledge of API development and testing tools, specifically Postman.
    • Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
    • Experience with version control tools (such as Git).
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    Essential Functions:

    • Develop and maintain website functionality using PHP and Laravel (or another relevant PHP framework). Update code as new versions are released.
    • Create responsive and visually appealing front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.
    • Implement UI/UX designs into functional web applications while collaborating with the design team.
    • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
    • Maintain database integrity and security with MySQL.
    • Manage web server configurations and operations, including experience with cPanel.
    • Handle website deployment and manage hosting environments.
    • Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
    • Utilize Postman for API development, testing, and management.
    • Develop and deploy new features and tools as necessary.
    • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them to operations and activities.
    • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
