    We are currently in search of a skilled Senior Cost Manager to join our team. The selected candidate will have extensive experience in construction project cost management on high tech and/or pharmaceutical/biotech projects.

    About the Role:

    The Senior Cost Manager plays a vital role in project success by monitoring and controlling project costs and schedules. You'll work closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects stay on budget and timeline, and provide senior management with clear, accurate cost data.

    This is a 100% onsite position in Hillsboro, Oregon.

    Responsibilities:

    • Generate accurate cost reports from source data (SAP, R3) and present data effectively using tables, charts, and graphs.
    • Mentor junior project controls engineers.
    • Implement and maintain the project cost control process according to established procedures.
    • Ensure project controls systems meet Roche's requirements for quality and timeliness.
    • Oversee adherence to financial accounting laws and principles.
    • Implement workflows for project mobilizations, purchase orders, invoices, and changes, adhering to the project Delegation of Authority (DOA).
    • Deliver controls training workshops for project teams and contractors.
    • Establish and maintain Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Work Packages, and project cost reports.
    • Coordinate preparation and review of monthly cost estimates with the Project Manager.
    • Present monthly cost reports, forecasts, and capital expenditure plans clearly and concisely.
    • Implement and manage cost control, schedule, and progress control tools.
    • Reconcile cost data between project reports and accounting systems.
    • Develop accurate and unbiased cost forecasts at both detailed and summary levels.
    • Monitor cost performance, identify variances from the budget, and recommend corrective actions.
    • Conduct "what-if" analyses and prepare corrective actions for program deviations.
    • Implement and execute Integrated Change Management.
    • Integrate changes to scope, schedule, cost control systems, and reporting.
    • Collaborate with Procurement to maintain auditable project registers.
    • Support a smooth project close-out process and deliver the Project Data Collection Report.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 15 years of experience as a Cost Manager, Senior Project Controls Engineer, or similar role.
    • Proven track record managing costs on medium to large capital projects ($50M-$500M USD).
    • Experience collaborating with client Project Controls Managers and Project Managers.
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, or business administration preferred.
    • PMI, RICS, or ACCEi Project Control Professional qualification (or equivalent) a plus.
    • Strong knowledge of project management and project controls.
    • Experience with CAPEX, finance, or business administration.
    • Proficiency in SAP R/3, Primavera, MS Office Suite, and Google Suite.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
