    Medical Receptionist Job Responsibilities:

    • Serving patients by greeting and assisting them, scheduling appointments, and managing records and accounts
    • Welcoming patients and visitors in person or over the phone, and handling inquiries
    • Ensuring patients' satisfaction and optimal use of provider time and treatment rooms by scheduling appointments efficiently
    • Keeping patient appointments on track, notifying providers of arrivals, and addressing service delays
    • Providing support to patients, answering questions, and maintaining a welcoming reception area
    • Maintaining organized patient information through filing and retrieval of records
    • Managing patient accounts, including recording and updating personal and financial details
    • Handling financial tasks such as recording charges, collecting payments, and managing insurance claims
    • Preparing necessary results and notes for patient visits
    • Maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding their rights
    • Following operational policies and procedures, and suggesting improvements when necessary
    • Supporting team efforts to achieve common goals
