    Mounds Park Academy is a PreK-12 independent school in Saint Paul, MN that serves approximately 575 students from throughout the Twin Cities area. Since 1982, Mounds Park Academy has engaged students in a rigorous college preparatory experience that is demanding, but not draining, and goes far beyond memorization.     Mounds Park Academy seeks a .8FTE year-round admission and communication assistant. This role will provide exceptional customer service to families learning about Mounds Park Academy, assist the office in moving applicants through the admission process, and provide administrative support for the director and the office. This position reports to the director of admission and communication. This position offers benefits, including tuition remission for eligible children, and a competitive salary.

    Responsibilities Include

    • Advance the mission, vision, and values of Mounds Park Academy.
    • Serve prospective families seeking more information about Mounds Park Academy exceptionally well in person, on the phone, and through the mail.
    • Assist the office of admission with moving applicants through the admission and onboarding process by managing student records, admission committees, offers of admission, enrollment notifications, and more.
    • Provide administrative support for the director of admission and communication and the office as a whole by providing daily support, serving as the database expert, coordinating calendars, managing inventory, tracking expenses, and more.
    • Be an active, positive, and contributing member of the school community.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum of one year of applicable experience.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to engage with people from all backgrounds and experiences.
    • Exceptional office management skills, including the ability to think independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Impeccable attention to detail.
    • Highly organized and self-motivated with a willingness to learn and be able to work with minimal supervision while also being a contributor to group or team projects.
    • Ability to maintain highly confidential information. High standards of ethics in conducting job-related activities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including deep experience with Excel and mail merges.
    • A sincere commitment to MPA's mission and the willingness to be a visible, enthusiastic brand ambassador. Passion for what is good for children and families.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Experience in a school setting.
    • Database experience.

    This is a year-round position with a generous benefits package, including tuition remission for qualified children, free lunch, and half-day Fridays during the summer. Occasional nights/weekends will be necessary.
