    Description

    A Texas based family office is seeking an attorney experienced in Tax, Real Estate and/or Business law to help oversee and administer a broad range of business interest and personal assets. Strong accounting credentials are additionally highly valued.

    We are looking for a "Hands On" doer with experience with complicated transactions who wants a dynamic and empowered job working directly with the principal.

    Family Office Description:

    The Family Office covers a wide array of investments including in private companies, private equity/VC, debt, real estate, hospitality, bonds, and advisory.

    Duties:

    • Support the management of Family Office assets and personnel
    • Manage billing and invoicing
    • Complicated tax planning for business entities, Trusts, and Family Members
    • Legal oversight of various companies under their purview and ensure that all entities are in good legal and financial standing
    • Legal responsibilities will have an emphasis on tax planning and real estate
    • Maintain accounting and tax records
    • Support new business ventures
    • With time, a successful candidate may be named as an officer of various entities and companies with signatory ability
    • Draft, create, review, and manage legal agreements
    • Travel from time to time with the team on due diligence trips

    Candidate Requirements:

    • In good standing with the Texas State Bar
    • CPA certificate preferred
    • Familiar with Trusts and Company Planning Estate Law

    Other Desired Characteristics:

    • "Hands on" mentality
    • A high degree of integrity
    • Experience in aircraft, boat, and Real Estate is a useful bonus
