    Our esteemed engineering firm is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team.

    This is a permanent position, perfect for a driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in CapEx.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our accounting department, ensuring our financial functions are organized, efficient, and accurate.

    Responsibilities:
    As an Accounting Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:


    • Overseeing the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
    • Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
    • Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
    • Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
    • Coordinating and completing annual audits.
    • Providing recommendations for improving systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
    • Assigning projects and directing staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
    • Meeting financial accounting objectives.
    • Leading and directing all aspects of the CapEx process including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning of capital expenditures.

    Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or relevant certification (such as a CPA) is preferred.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting leadership role, preferably within the engineering industry.
    • Proven experience with CapEx, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning of capital expenditures.
    • Proficient in accounting software and administration, along with a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines.
    • Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to clearly explain financial data to non-financial colleagues.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
    • High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
