    Scientific Drilling International is looking for a Planning Expeditor to work at our Applied Technologies Center in Paso Robles, CA.

    The Planning Expeditor position will coordinate and expedite work orders, products and materials in the Paso Robles Manufacturing facility, with an aim for smooth and efficient flow of work to meet demands and maintain target outputs.

    Scientific Drilling is an independent directional drilling and wellbore navigation, surveying and logging service company serving customers worldwide. We are looking for an Electronic Engineer to be a key part of a small collaborative team focused on the advancement of our Measure While Drilling and Logging While Drilling wellbore systems. Our industry-leading navigation systems provide definitive survey information, enabling safer and more efficient placement of tightly spaced wellbores throughout the world. Our logging systems provide reliable technologies for assessing formation characteristics to evaluate well bore placement for optimal resource extraction.     Key Job Functions

    • Release Work Orders based on MRP requirements, production targets or management direction and identify shortages and potential resource constraints.
    • Warehouse tools not needed based on MRP.
    • Review work order progress to ensure materials are available according to plan.
    • Coordinate with department supervisors and managers across supply chain and production groups to determine progress of work and completion dates, highlighting potential delays, scheduling impacts and developing alternative solutions.
    • Cycle counts, organizing and auditing of Reserve Warehouse inventory.
    • Assist in the maintenance of MRP system data.
    • Create/maintain SOPs for role.
    • Perform other job duties as assigned.
    • Adhere to safety standards with Company HSE policies.
    • Manage workstation and practice good housekeeping techniques.
    • Pursue every job with drive and determination.
    • Use logic to solve problems with effective solutions.
    • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the needs of the business.

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of Planning or related field
    • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively in a changing environment.
    • Familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
    • MRP (SAP, Oracle or other system) experience and knowledge is highly desirable.
    • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment (aerospace, automotive, clean room or electronics manufacturing) is desired.
