Position Summary:
We are in search of a Windows Desktop Application Developer with strong expertise in UWP (Universal Windows Platform) and XAML, and a preference for those familiar with React Native for Windows.
The ideal candidate will excel in designing and implementing sophisticated desktop applications that interact seamlessly with the Windows USB interface and externally running processes.
This role is critical for creating robust, user-friendly applications that meet our business requirements while ensuring high performance and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain desktop applications using UWP and XAML, with an interest in integrating React Native for Windows where applicable.
Create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces using modern design principles, with proficiency in XAML and an interest in leveraging React Native for Windows for cross-platform functionality.
Manage and facilitate interactions with externally running processes for comprehensive application functionality.
Implement robust error-handling and security mechanisms to safeguard the application.
Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and other cross-functional teams to ensure product coherence and user satisfaction.
Conduct extensive testing and debugging to uphold application reliability and usability.
Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in Windows desktop application development, including new tools, libraries, frameworks, and best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Demonstrated experience in Windows desktop application development with a solid foundation in UWP and XAML.
In-depth understanding of the Windows USB interface and proven experience with hardware-level communication.
Skilled in managing interactions with externally running processes.
Strong grasp of modern UI/UX design principles and their implementation in XAML.
Knowledgeable in secure coding practices and adept at implementing security features within desktop applications.
Proficiency in debugging, performance optimization, and ensuring application reliability.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with React Native for Windows as a tool for developing cross-platform applications.
Familiarity with .NET Core or .NET Framework.
Experience in asynchronous programming models.
Proficiency in additional programming languages such as C++ or C#.
Experience with version control systems, like Git.
Education: Bachelors Degree
