    Olmsted Falls City Schools has a vacancy for a Technology Integration Specialist for the school year and beyond.


    The Technology Integration Specialist will assist elementary, middle, and high school teachers to enhance student learning through improved technology integration.

    The primary focus of the person in this position is to enrich and support teaching and learning while strengthening the technology skills of teachers and staff (and indirectly students) by providing leadership training and support in integrating technology into the instructional program.

    The Technology Integration Specialist will support the Coordinator of Instructional Technology in coordinating and facilitating the implementation of the district's technology integration plan.

    Contract Terms:
    Full-Time Position; Teachers contract with extended days; Member of the Olmsted Falls Educational Association and will receive all benefits as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Valid State of Ohio Department of Education license/certificate for the position.
    Master's degree in Technology preferred.
    At least five years of teaching experience is preferred.
    Extensive knowledge of teaching techniques, curriculum, and adult learning.
    Proficiency with a variety of educational technology tools and software applications.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and IT staff.
    A minimum of two years experience delivering and integrating technology into instructional programs.

    Two years of professional development experience educating teachers or other adults in integrating technology for instruction and productivity using the following modes:
    modeling, one-on-one, small group, or large group.
    Effective organizational, planning, and project management skills.


    Essential Functions:
    Serves as the lead to assist the district with implementing its Technology Integration Plan.
    Serves as a resource for troubleshooting technical issues related to educational technology tools, software, and hardware.

    Builds staff capacity and models classroom instruction that integrates the National Educational Technology Standards (NETS).Works closely with classroom teachers to develop and implement technology-enhanced curriculum materials and resources that are aligned with educational standards and best practices.

    Stay current on emerging technologies, educational trends, and research in educational technology. Evaluate the effectiveness of technology integration initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
    Develop and curate a repository of resources, lesson plans, tutorials, and instructional materials for educators.

    These may include but are not limited to websites, tutorials, interactive programs, and databases that support teachers in integrating technology.

    Coordinate with the IT department to ensure technology infrastructure supports instructional goals and objectives.

    Provides direct support to teachers by visiting schools regularly, observing instruction, coaching, and mentoring the integration of technology into instruction.

    Promotes the use of appropriate technology instructional tools in all academic areas.
    Provides assistance and training to building instructional staff in integrating technology to support student achievement. This includes planning and implementing job-embedded professional development and workshops for individuals, small groups, and large groups.
    Helps develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum as assigned.

    Facilitates effective use of learning time by providing professional development related to:
    Maximize increased instructional technology time focused on student academic needs.
    Provide professional development that ensures student engagement when providing differentiated re-teaching and focused interventions utilizing instructional technology.

    Design and deliver professional development activities related to technology integration and provide ongoing support focusing on strategies to improve daily instruction.

    Provides leadership and guidance in developing and implementing the district technology plans and serves on the District Technology Committee.
    Coordinates technology-related grant projects, community outreach projects, and funding.
    Facilitates district-wide technology integration efforts in promoting 21st-century teaching and learning skills.
    Works with building leadership teams for special projects related to technology integration.

    Maintain current knowledge of developments in online instructional technology and its integration into the curriculum as they relate to 21st-century learners.

    Participates in ongoing professional development related to job responsibilities and maintaining expertise in the field.
    Other duties as assigned by the superintendent/designee.


    Specific Training/Skills:
    Understands how adults learn and can create engaging professional development opportunities for them.

    Extensive knowledge of G Suite for Education (Google Workspace).The ability to conduct a system-wide analysis to determine the alignment of the district's curriculum with the National Technology Standards will lead to greater alignment.

    Collects evidence of successful technology integration to build capacity within the school district.

    Strong technology skills in up-to-date computer software, including word processing, database, spreadsheet, web page development, presentation, digital video and audio editing, image processing, and graphics applications.

    Experience using the most current and instructionally relevant instructional tools for teachers and assistive technology for students.
    Ability to coach, mentor, and work cooperatively and effectively with others.
    Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
    Up-to-date knowledge of computer-related technology/equipment to assist with troubleshooting.
