Summary

Brivo is looking for a highly creative, passionate, and skilled Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to design and develop new web services for a global security system serving millions of users.

As part of the Video Team at
Brivo, you will work with people who are dedicated to creating a great customer experience, focused on
quality in every aspect of their work, and are constantly seeking to learn and improve. Our best
engineers are adept at picking up new things, enjoy solving challenging problems, speak up, and thrive
in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

* This is a Remote role, working EST business hours and requires traveling to our Bethesda, MD office 1-2
times a quarter (every three months) if needed. *

About the Team
The Video Team helps Brivo customers derive value from their video systems and improve the way
people interact with buildings. We develop solutions ranging from 3rd party integrations to new video-
enabled products and services. Join our team to help us build the best platform for Smart Spaces.

You'll be expected to:

Work closely with your Team Lead to aid with project scoping
Partner with other teams to support Brivo's mission through architectural and technical

improvement while taking ownership of the applications you work on

Code 70% of your time, design solutions, and participate in code reviews
Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and other engineers to design and deliver

high-quality features to production

Work within an Agile team to complete code reviews, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and

feature reviews

Mentor team members to improve processes and promote the best practices

Responsibilities

Develop software testing procedures, programming and documentation
Modify existing software to fix defects or improve performance
Develop and review architecture diagrams
Review code from other engineers and suggest improvements
Identify security concerns and create remediations to address securityrelated defects
Analyze log output to identify anomalous system behaviors
Coordinate the deployment of code with other engineers

About You

5+ years experience with React/Typescript and MaterialUI in production applications
5+ years experience with Serverless development using AWS Lambda, Typescript
Strong foundation in web applications and services with modern software architecture
Experience working with Jenkins or similar CI tooling
Strong communication skills
Ability to work in the EST time zone

Additional experience to make you stand out:

Experience with video streaming, image processing, and WebRTC
