    Job Description Summary:


    The role of the Multi-Media Specialist (Videographer) at Del Mar College is crucial for crafting original content and producing digital material that highlights the college's people and programs, fostering community engagement and presenting the college in a manner that aligns with the objectives of the Strategic Vision.

    Working within the Media Relations division of the College Relations Office (CRO), there's a strong emphasis on media outreach aimed at promoting a positive image of Del Mar College through news coverage.

    This aspect of the position involves researching and drafting tailored news releases and creating digital/video content for dissemination via both media channels and the college's online newsroom, Viking News.

    As Del Mar College expands its presence, this role will actively seek opportunities to package stories for diverse platforms.

    Additionally, this position supports the Associate Director of Media Relations in coordinating media-related events to showcase programmatic successes and college-wide initiatives.

    Monitoring news coverage, both generated internally and externally, is another facet of the role. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with various CRO projects as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    High School Diploma or GED.

    One (1) year of related experience.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Assoclate's Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field.

    Two (2) years of related experience.

    Experience running broadcast cameras, setting up lighting and sound equipment.
