- Responsible for all aspects of the group home and the clients daily living
- Work directly under the supervision of the Director of Residential Services
- Manage a home of 4-5 individuals
- Communicate pertinent information to all group home staff
- Inventory management, including but not limited to: client clothing, household supplies, groceries, etc
- Write clear and concise progress notes
- Ensure that all policies and procedures set by upper management are followed
- Maintain a safe and nurturing atmosphere for clients that allows them to grow to their best selves
- Maintain the residential household to a high standard, including house cleaning, shopping, preparing meals, and promptly reporting any housing issues to management
- Treat all clients and fellow staff with dignity and respect
- Cooperate with staff from LOU and DDD and/or personnel from the Department of Human Services in any inspection and or investigation which may be conducted
- Attend all departmental staff meetings, company events, and organization-provided training sessions as directed
- Assist in all areas where clients may require support, including but not limited to:
- Provide assistance in personal hygiene care
- Write clear and concise progress notes
- Ensure ongoing implementation of ISP Outcomes
- Proper administration of medication in accordance with training and procedures
- Active participation and guidance during recreational activities
- Follow through on any and all established behavior plans
- Implement activities that encourage personal growth and new skill development
- Advocate for clients' self-expression and communication
- Provide safe and efficient transportation to clients to and from activities
- BS/BA or equivalent is required
- Must be 18 years or older
- Strong computer skills
- Successful administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with complex calendar management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience with Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, etc.)
- Proven professional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Possess a valid New Jersey Driver's License
- Must be able to successfully complete all NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities mandated trainings within the first 120 days of employment
- The requirements for checks of criminal background, the central registry, the child abuse registry, and drug testing must be completed prior to working with any clients in the Day Program or Residential Program
