Full Job Description: Borrelli Steel Fabricators, LLC specializes in structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabrication and erection. Borrelli Steel Fabricators, LLC is an AISC certified fabrication facility in the Building and Bridge Component categories. We are a family owned and operated business which has been serving the tri-state area for over 30 years. We are seeking an experienced Production Manager / Shop Foreman to join our team.

As shop manager you will be required to supervise all shop personnel, oversee the management and maintenance of equipment, and ensure the efficiency of operations in accordance with AISC standards.

You will also be required to manage shop production, monitor inventory, and enforce safety regulations.


Responsibilities of the Production Manager/ Shop Foreman: · Hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating shop employees.· Preparing employees work schedule.· Ensuring all staff adhere to safety standards, company policies, and procedures.· Manage and monitor shop labor hours to ensure projects are completed within the hours estimated.· Coordinate and prepare shop schedule with Operations Manager.· Meeting with management to deliver feedback and develop work optimization strategies. · Must be able to read and interpret shop drawings, welding symbols, and specifications in accordance with contract requirements and
documents.· Ensure that all shop equipment and machinery are properly operated and maintained.· Monitor production and work in progress to ensure all fabricated materials comply with applicable shop drawings, AISC standards and
job specific requirements.· Manage filing system and keep project related documents, delivery tickets, material certifications, incoming delivery paperwork, and
final inspections organized within the processes.· Monitor inventory levels and resupply of shop consumables.

· Coordinate the maintenance of equipment and machinery with Facilities Manager to ensure that operations run smoothly.· Addressing employee disputes, questions, or concerns.· Issue verbal warnings and document employee performance violations / nonconformances as needed.· Conduct routine inspection of shop equipment to ensure proper settings and operation.· Program and manage electronic NC files for projects.· Delegate work to shop leads.· Manage stock materials inventory.· Review employee daily work sheets and timecards.· Train new employees on shop equipment and procedures.· Oversee shipping and receiving operations.

· Work closely with Quality Control Inspector to perform visual inspection, verify fit and dimensions of fabricated materials in progress

and final inspection of completed work.· Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and overtime when required.· Must be capable of managing personnel and shop processes to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive operation.

Requirements of the Production Manager/ Shop Foreman: · A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED) required.· Associates, Vocational two-year degree, or Equivalent Work Experience.· Pass a pre-employment drug test, physical and background check.· A valid driver's license is required.· Certified Welder AWS D1.1.· Minimum 5 years structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabrication experience.· Prior experience as a production manager or assistant production manager. · Knowledge of AWS and AISC industry standards and codes.
