    Paramedic

    Principle Responsibilities

    ● Assist with care for sick or injured campers and staff on a daily basis

    ● Respond to and/or assist with emergencies as they occur

    ● Assist with mental health first aid when necessary

    ● Assist with opening and closing procedures in the Summit Health Lodge

    ● On-Call Rotation

    ● Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership

    ● Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook

    ● Abide by the Summit Health Lodge Policies and Procedures

    Qualifications & Training

    ● 18 years of age or older

    ● Required: Emergency Medical Technician Certification and valid NREMT Certification

    ● Required: Able to obtain WV State EMT Certification (Provided)

    ● Required: CPR and First Aid Certification

    ● Required training: HazMat, Bloodborne Pathogens, Mass Casualty Incident (MCI)

    ● Beneficial: Mental Health First Aid Certification

    ● Strong Communication Skills

    ● Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination

    ● Be or become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America

    ● Must have a valid driver license, and ability to obtain SBR Driver Permit (provided)

    Performance Results

    ● Provide positive experiences for patients in high stress situations

    ● Offer suggestions and improvements for department with your own ideas

    Physical Requirements

    ● EMTs should be able to lift at least 100 pounds, push at least 50 pounds, and have the stamina, endurance, and flexibility to repeatedly lift, bend, and kneel

    ● Can pass the physical exam and approved for SBR height and weight requirements HERE
