Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing construction projects, with a focus on tenant improvements.
As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Review and approve contractor and vendor invoices, change orders, and project documentation.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and management, to provide regular updates on project status and address any concerns.
Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and specifications.
Collaborate with internal teams to optimize project performance and resource allocation.
Prepare and present project reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on tenant improvements.
Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and collaborate with diverse teams.
Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Experience working in the Kansas City metropolitan area is preferred.
PMP certification or similar project management certification is a plus.
