    Description


    OpenTeams is looking for a talented, transformational Vice-President of Finance who will direct and oversee the financial activities of the corporation and a group of related business entities.

    The VP of Finance will report to the company President and will be a key member of the senior leadership team who must be willing to challenge the status quo while championing the strategic direction of the company.

    S/he will provide leadership for development, implementation, & evaluation of policies and procedures, strategies and performance of the financial functions.

    Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Supervisory Responsibilities:
    Supervision of payroll, purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, audit, tax and general accounting functions.
    Leads the accounting/finance team, setting clear goals and expectations to achieve optimal performance.


    Essential Functions:


    Acts as a key finance/accounting leader and member of the Senior Leadership team with a strategic mindset that anticipates and plans for the future.

    Works with other business leaders to monitor organizational performance and make recommendations.

    Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.

    Develops a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
    Responsible for the financial management of both long and short-range planning while building scalable systems and processes.
    Ensures appropriate maintaining of internal controls, ensuring successful audit outcomes.

    Understands in-depth the market opportunity, strategy and business model of the company while providing a unique perspective across all departments.

    Provides and executes on data, information and insights.
    Oversees and monitors ownership investments and entitles.
    Works with banking partners to raise additional capital required for expansion.

    Monitors and supervises tax strategy and planningEducation and Experience:

    Well-qualified executive with 8-10 years of experience serving as a strategic finance and accounting leader (preferably as a multi-entity VP).Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.

    Certified Public Accountant designation is a plus.

    Well-versed in presentations, accustomed to addressing large groups, vendors, partners, and shareholders.
