    Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Platform Engineer for a direct hire/permanent role in Salt Lake City, UT.In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Windows server environments for our internal media systems, Sports and Media partners, and Experience Centers, encompassing both on-premise infrastructure and cloud-based deployments on Azure and AWS.Architect, design, deploy, and manage Windows Server environments, ensuring stability, scalability, and high availability.

    Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and develop customized server solutions that align with business objectives.
    Perform system installations, configurations, and upgrades, following best practices and security guidelines.
    Automate server provisioning, configuration, and management using relevant technologies and scripting languages.
    Monitor server performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement appropriate optimizations to enhance system efficiency.
    Troubleshoot and resolve server-related incidents, working closely with the support team to ensure prompt resolution.
    Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical data and ensure uninterrupted business operations.
    Maintain up-to-date documentation of server configurations, processes, and procedures.

    Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies related to Windows Server, on-premise infrastructure, and Azure and AWS Cloud platforms.

    Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
    Proactively identify and monitor for security risks introduced in our source control, cloud platforms, and infrastructure.
    Collaborate with multiple Scrum teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, System Architects, QA Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Users.

    Automate repetitive and complex tasks by developing tools and processes that our team can rely on for daily development, testing, and release management.

    Exemplify excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to tailor technical communications to any audience deftly.

    Push the limits, try new technologies, take calculated risks, swing for the fences, and proactively search for the best solutions and ideas in the marketplace.

    QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum of 2 years (4 preferable) of experience as a Windows Server Engineer, with a focus on on-premise operations and cloud environments (Azure and AWS).In-depth knowledge, hands-on experience in Windows Server technologies, and a strong understanding of cloud computing and virtualization.

    In-depth knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2016/2019/2022), including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

    Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS.Proficiency in on-premise server and virtual machine automation using relevant technologies (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible, Chef, Pulumi, Puppet, Terraform).Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.

    Familiarity with scripting languages for automation and configuration management.
    Familiarity with Linux and Linux automation with tools like Ansible or Puppet is a plus.

    Proficient in monitoring tools and performance optimization techniques (Grafana, DataDog, etc.).Experience using Pulumi, Terraform and/or other 'Infrastructure as Code' tools is a plus.

    Solid understanding of networking principles and protocols.extensive experience using relevant technologies in full server and virtual machine automation.
    Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
    Driven to automate your processes, test continually, and document your work.
    You're not afraid of an open, candid, and respectful work environment.
    Passion for gaming, video live-streaming, sports or eSports is a plus.
    Experience in working with a cross-functional, distributed team from concept through completion and future iterations including agile methodologies.
    Excellent time management skills.

    Additional InformationThis role will work a hybrid schedule of onsite/in-office work with some remote options weekly in the Salt Lake City office.
