Under the supervision of the Team Lead and Loan Operations Assistant Manager, the Residential Loan Operations member will work with and to ensure all Loan Servicing related functions in connection with Residential Mortgage loans are completed.
This includes funding's, Investor loan servicing, booking/reviewing loans, distribution of paid loan packages, preparation of payoff demand statements, loan file maintenance review, tracking and review of all pending loan documents and exceptions.
Essential DutiesBook and review all mortgage loans from Encompass to COCC, the CORE system.
Provide backup to the operational tasks on secondary market, Freddie Mac, including selling, funding, setting-up, servicing and paying of secondary market loans.
Add/or Remove Escrow
Processes payoff requests and payoff's received daily.
Prepares and distributes payoff documents including discharges of mortgages to our customers.
Pays PMI premiums, reviews and tracks for mortgage loans for PMI cancellation
Assures that Homeowners Insurance is current on all mortgage via Miniter, our Insurance Tracking Company
Provides review of wire information
Monitors and pays various bills
Creates and responds to inquiries from our customers and internal departments entered via CRM, emailed or faxed.
Provides day to day support of the Residential Loan Operations staff in order to ensure service level expectations are met
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Bank's Mortgage Loan products/services and related service provider application systems.
Maintain technical knowledge of standards, policy changes and issues related to loan accounts.
Must have a strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
Must be highly organized and able to multi-task while working in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
Must be highly flexible and have the ability to work overtime as needed during times of high volume
Must be able to prioritize work and have excellent problem-solving skills, sound judgement and ability to make decisions within established departmental and written policy and procedures
Must be a proactive and self-directed individual with a positive attitude who works well both independently and as part of the team
Backs up and performs various loan servicing duties.
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Training and Work Experience
Must have proficient computer skills including Word and Excel.
Must possess strong analytical and customer service skills.
Must be able to multi-task and work independently.
High school degree or equivalent required, College degree preferred
Minimum 5 years' experience - in banking or loan services preferred
Knowledge of Encompass, Insight, Corelogic, Miniter, MGIC preferred
