- Inspect, repair, and service customer equipment in the shop or in the field (as needed.)
- Safely drive and operate a company-owned vehicle.
- Ensure proper operation of compressed air equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements and inspections on a wide variety of compressors, vacuum pumps, boosters, and blowers.
- Provide assistance and training to Apprentices and Field Service Technicians.
- Serve as technical support for customers.
- Teardown, Inspection, Failure analysis, and repair of pumps, blowers/vacuum boosters, vacuum pumps, vertical turbines, VFD's soft starts, gearboxes, and motors.
- Promote and participate fully in communicating with management and other members of the sales team to encourage the flow of information related to jobs, projects, and quoting activity.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Able to read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must be able to weld.
- Working knowledge of VFD'S and soft starters is a plus but not required.
- Operate a Forklift, hoist, crane, hand tools, power tools, drills, band saw, drill press, lathe mills, or other equipment deemed necessary to fulfill the job's functions.
- Basic computer skills and internet software knowledge.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3-5 years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
