The Buyer plays a pivotal role in facilitating all aspects of bids, procurement, purchase order creation, supplier management, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Their primary responsibility is to uphold Legend Manufacturing's quality and delivery objectives by ensuring suppliers meet or exceed expectations.


Essential Job Functions:

• Procure all items within assigned product categories.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
• Negotiate favorable prices and value for products.
• Stay updated on market conditions and technological advancements.
• Maintain accurate supplier information, including contact details and product specifications.
• Report issues regarding vendor product quality, dependability, and service issues to management.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address supplier-related issues.
• Thrive in fast-paced environments, meeting multiple deadlines effectively.
• Demonstrate punctuality and consistent attendance as essential job requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Manage days-on-hand and out-of-stock on assigned product categories

Requirements


Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain management or equivalent work experience.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in purchasing or a related supply chain role.
• Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in IQMS is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
