    About the Job

    Focus Staff is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer for a travel position in Knoxville, Tennessee. This is a contract/ temporary job requiring 13 weeks of work with an option to extend.

    • Salary: $65K per year (estimated)

    Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will conduct multi-specialty diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to departmental procedures and work under the direction of experienced staff sonographers within the regional ultrasound program. The technologist must have strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety, as well as be compassionate and sensitive. Effective communication skills and human relations skills are also required.

    Requirements

    1. Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiologic/Ultrasound Technology program.
    2. National certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent if applicable.
    3. Advance certification by accrediting body in specialty, RVT/RCS/RDCS or equivalent for Cardiac/Vascular, required within 18 months of hire if applicable.
    4. BLS certification required.
    5. At least 2 years of experience in related field.
