    Information Security Systems Administrator


    to join Kirtland Credit Union within our corporate office location at 6440 Gibson Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM This role has the option for a hybrid schedule and the possibility of fully remote, if determined by business needs.

    This is what we would like you to do:


    Responsible for the operation and administration of the Credit Union's information security related systems to include virtual server environments, endpoint protections devices and applications, and networking systems.

    Ensures systems, applications and data are secure and protected following best practices, NCUA guidelines and KCU policies.

    Monitors, reports, and remediates security related tools and systems and collaborating with Information Security Officer and Technology Staff the in remediating risks and evolving the current posture above industry baselines.

    Is responsible for monitoring and ensuring backup and replication systems are functioning properly and assists in recovery testing of these systems.

    Analyzes risk assessments, audit findings, regulations, user requirements, procedures, and existing issues to improve the efficiency of existing Information security systems or replace them with improved ones.

    Ensures initiatives align with the KCU IT strategic plan as well as the overall KCU strategic plan.
    These are what your duties and responsibilities will be:

    Configures and monitors network systems to align with policies and prudent business practice.
    Provides technical assistance for advanced-level problems, responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with software.
    Participates in Disaster Recovery/Business Resumption planning and technical design and execution.
    Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
    Can you to bring to the table:

    Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
    Experience Required

    :

    5 years' experience managing security tools such as:

    anti-virus, intrusion

    detection/prevention

    systems, web content filtering, data loss prevention, vulnerability scanners, and firewalls in a financial industry experience preferred.
    5 years' experience managing and supporting backup technologies and Disaster Recovery.
    5 years' experience managing and supporting virtual environments.
    5 years' experience in supporting audits and risk assessments preferred.
    Experience in troubleshooting security, network, and user issues.
    Experience in supporting vendor relationships.
    Skills and Abilities:


    Ability to make sound and logical judgments, prioritizing and executing tasks under time constraint environment and to make sound decisions in emergency situations.

    Demonstrated leadership and personnel/project management skills.
    Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
    Able to conduct research into issues and products as required.
    Self-motivated and directed.
    Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
