    Personal Care Attendant (FLSA Non-Exempt)

    Safety Sensitive Position)

    The Personal Care Attendant will provide resident care in accordance with provisions of Section 400.Upon completion of all required training Personal Care Attendants will perform care procedures currently delivered by Certified Nursing Assistants.

    Ability to read and write and follow oral instructions in English;

    • Must be computer literate to complete task(s) as required, such as MS Outlook, MS Word, online educational programs/webinars, and facility support software, such as Point Click Care (PCC);
    • Long-term care experience in skilled nursing preferred, but not required;
    • Possess special interest in, and a positive attitude about, working with long-term care residents and the elderly;
    • Must possess a willingness to learn, have a passion for caring for resident's needs, and ability to communicate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, family members, community members, Avante's vendors, volunteers and staff members;
    • Check Resident Temps
    • Reposition the Resident in Bed/Float Heels
    • Transfer the Resident to a Wheelchair using a Gait Belt
    • Oral Care/Denture Care (alert residents)
    • Provide a Bed Bath/Perineal/Catheter Care
    • Assist the Resident with Getting Dressed
    • Assist the Resident to Bathroom or to use a Urinal (1 Person Assist)
