OverviewWe are seeking a knowledgeable and committed Urology Physician to fill a temporary need due to provider availability. The role involves clinic coverage and operating room duties, with the potential for outreach services. The position is based out of Wausau, with scheduled clinic days, OR days, and optional outreach to Wisconsin Rapids.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team and maintain high standards of patient care in a fulfilling and flexible role.
Required SkillsMedical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Urology
Active and unrestricted medical license in the applicable state
Proven clinical experience in urology practice
Strong diagnostic and procedural skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Comfortable with flexible scheduling and intermittent clinic and OR duties
Nice to Have Skills
Previous experience with outreach clinics or cross-site coverage
Familiarity with the healthcare systems or protocols in Wisconsin
Additional certifications in related specialties or procedures
Bilingual capabilities to serve diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Minimum of 2 years of post-residency clinical practice in urology
Prior experience in outpatient and surgical urology settings
Other Requirements
Availability to start ASAP pending credentialing
Willingness to work approximately 7-10 days per month, including one weekend
Possibility of intermittent coverage beyond April 2026
Ability to travel to Wisconsin Rapids 1-2 days per month if needed
Certification in ACLS or BLS (preferred)
