    For more than 78 years, Winholt Equipment has been an industry leader in the custom design and manufacturing of food handling and food preparation equipment for the food service industry. We pride ourselves on meeting the ever-changing customer needs through creative engineering, product development, and distribution.

    We are seeking an Electrical Drafter to join our Grand Prairie, TX, team. This is a full-time in-office position reporting to the Director of Engineering. The ideal candidate for this role will have both Mechanical and Electrical drafting experience. They need to acquire this knowledge because they will be working with both types of drafting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Drafting/using Autodesk Inventor 2022 to design Food Service/Kitchen Equipment type products.
    • Estimating/quoting a variety of Food Service/Kitchen type products.
    • Work with Sales and Customers in the Food Service Industry on designs, specifications, and prototypes to suit their application needs.

    Requirements:

    • Relevant degree preferred. Extensive on-the-job experience in a similar environment may substitute for formal education.
    • Experience with equipment used to cut, bend, join, and finish ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
    • Knowledge of the Food Service Industry Equipment is required.
    • Two years of quoting/estimating and drafting are preferred.
    • Two years of Autodesk Inventor 2022/AutoCAD or equivalent experience is required.
    • AS-400 experience preferred. Proficiency with other ERP packages may be considered.
    • Generalist approach to the field with a willingness to research and execute projects with a very "hands-on" approach.
    • Work diplomatically yet assertively with personnel at all levels of the organization to achieve the best solutions for the Company.
    • Monitor product documentation for accuracy and make necessary corrective actions.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Able to work in a typical office environment.
    • Must be able to work on the shop/warehouse floor and follow Winholt's requirements for using PPE.
    • Sit, stoop, bend, crouch, stand, walk, and carry.
