    Job Description:
    Oversee procurement of materials from suppliers to support production requirements. Review and plan demand requirements for complex materials. Lead negotiation of contracts for goods, services, equipment, and monitor contractual obligations for compliance. Responsible for model year purchasing activities to ensure obsolescence is mitigated. Sustain adequate flow of materials from supply chain to support production order start dates. Create and sustain preferred sourcing models, leading to favorable asset management and material availability. Lead the evaluation of vendor performance, including the entire Supplier Evaluation System. Monitor complex activities so project objectives are met in accordance with schedules. Execute strategies established within the active sourcing roadmap. Establish and sustain internal cross functional relationships. Create and sustain supply/logistics agreements, quality agreements, etc. Implementation of external Kanban processes to reduce days on hand inventory.


    Scope of Work/Tasks:
    Lead the supply chain organization.
    Ensure SAGE 100 tools are used to track purchase price variances.
    Area of responsibility is both tactical and strategic in nature.
    Continuously enhance or improve existing policies, products and methods.
    Create and sustain commercial, supply and quality agreements.
    Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
    Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
    Create supply sustainability across the supply chain.
    Lead supplier selection and supplier qualification process.
    Manage approved supplier list.
    Supplier quality focused.
    Use data to improve supplier performance via routine workshops.
    Utilize supplier development plans to enhance supply base.
    Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
    Control spend andbuild a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
    Maintain material budgets.
    Ensure three way match is compliant and total cost of ownership is utilized when selecting suppliers.


    Requirements:


    5-7 years purchasing leadership in manufacturing environmentProven successas supply chain manager, materials manager, purchasing manager, purchasing officer or head of purchasing.

    Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in "reading" the market.
    Proven successes with negotiations and networking.
    Aptitude in decision-making and analyzing data.
    Strong leadership capabilities.

    Proven knowledge of KPI's and early indicators managementProven knowledge establishing preferred sourcing models (contract warehouse, consignment, vendor management) leading to excellent inventory managementExperienced in open order management and missing parts managementSignificant knowledge of material handling, with proven ability to lead lean continuous improvement activities.

    BS degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration is required. MBA is preferred.
