JOB SUMMARY:
The Infrastructure Engineer will report to the Manager collaborating with the Infrastructure and Development Operations team to assign permissions, provision and manage resources, work on backup job management and renewal of certificates. The Infrastructure Engineer will also manage DNS changes, disaster recovery management, create cloud databases, and build scripts/queries.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assignment of permissions using security groups through Active Directory
Provisioning EC2 or VM resource
Provision and manage storage resources in the cloud (S3 / Storage account)
Backup Job Management
Renew TLS/SSL certificates
Make DNS changes
Disaster Recovery management
Create cloud databases (MySQL, SQL Server, RDS)
Build basic scripts in PowerShell to automate tasks
Build queries in Azure Monitor
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate with IT teams/personnel as well as other departments, end users and customers who they may interact with
Troubleshoot basic network connectivity (wired and wireless) issues
Hardware replacement (switches / Access points)
Apply security patches on servers
Create backup jobs
Work with domain owner to generate CSR, procure TLS/SSL cert, and bind to domain(s)
Run vulnerability scans
Review and acknowledge alerts from monitoring systems
User management on cloud platforms and SaaS tools
User management on cloud platforms and SaaS tools
Compliance reporting and review
Periodic Disaster recovery testing
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
EDUCATION:
B.S computer science or related field preferred
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
AWS Associate level certification a plus
EXPERIENCE:
2+ yrs. experience within IT support and infrastructure engineering work experience
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Microsoft Office knowledge, particularly Excel formulas, pivot tables and VLOOKUP
Must be familiar with basic Linux commands
Must have basic working knowledge of scripting
Basic understanding of Cloud Computing
Understanding of Active Directory management
Windows Server management (2016 and above)
Knowledge of Azure / AWS core features, including EC2, ELB, VPC, S3
Understand security, such as encryption in transit and at rest
Troubleshooting wireless networking
SQL Server knowledge is a plus

Basic Container management (i.e. Docker)
Basic Database management (Basic provisioning and query)
