    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Under the general supervision of the Tax Supervisor, the Sales Tax Specialist responsibilities include: ensuring the sales tax data is to complete to prepare the tax filings, file taxes when needed, respond to clients and jurisdictions and analyze/reconcile tax data. The Sales Tax Specialist will identify and recommend corrective actions for tax notices. The Sales Tax Specialist will prepare schedules and workpapers for corrective actions, not limited to amended returns and tax audits.

    Requirements:

    1. Associates degree or 4 years of related experience
    2. Experience with sales tax filings, laws and regulations
    3. Intermediate to Advance Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup function
    4. Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned projects to meet deadlines
    5. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers and vendors
    6. Self-motivated; ability to take on assigned tasks with minimal supervision
    7. Work extra hours as needed
    Preferred:
    1. One Source experience
    2. Advance excel skills
    3. Client relationship experience
    Responsibilities:
    1. Prepare sales tax filings during peak cycle time (10th-20th of each month)
    2. Team with peers to manage a group of clients to ensure sales tax filings/payments are timely and accurate
    3. Respond to client issues.
    4. Responsible for daily deadlines.
    5. Assist with filings to ensure accurately and timely reporting.
    6. Assist the Sales Tax Supervisor as needed
    7. Assist with reconciliations, amendments and rework as needed.
