Job Summary
The Graduate Assistant performs a variety of support duties through close interaction with Administrative staff and faculty and, as needed, with other departments and/or organizations.
A limited number of graduate assistantships are offered to departments with graduate degree programs, as well as to other administrative offices.
By policy, graduate assistantship duties should be relevant to students' major field of study and shall be of academic value.
This Graduate Assistant will assist when needed with supporting a classroom learning environment, and providing a safe, secure, and healthy place for children to learn and grow.
This position is housed within the Montessori Academy.
Responsibilities
Administrative Support -Assist with various tasks including, but not limited to surveys, feedback, and generating reports.
Support , Communication, Programming
Full range of administrative functions, including problem solving and interpersonal contacts, receptionist duties, and office management.
Other duties and responsibilities -Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Other Required Qualifications
Be approved for regular admission to a graduate degree program at Georgia College.
Maintain academic good standing.
If a student's grade point average falls below a 3.00 (academic warning), the student will have next semester or summer term to improve and return to good standing before termination of the assistantship.
Should a student fail to return to good standing after the next semester or summer term, or should a student receive academic exclusion and be dismissed from the degree program, the assistantship will be terminated at once.
Graduate assistants are required to work between ten and twenty hours per week (depending on their contracts) for a total of hours during the fall and spring semesters.
