What to Expect

We are currently seeking a proactive Yard Hostler for the 2nd shift in Jurupa Valley, California. The yard spotter drives trucks or tractors within the yard to move, position, and park trailers efficiently. They also move production material trailers as required to support just-in-time delivery. Additionally, they carefully spot loaded and unloaded trailers at designated dock spaces for loading or unloading using a tractor, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with warehouse management.

What You'll Do

Operate an industrial tractor to relocate trailers as directed within the yard for shipping and receiving operations. Adherence to instructions and established procedures is essential for daily tasks.
Tasks include trailer hooking/unhooking, door movements, and door sealing for outbound trailers.
Ensure all trailers are in the correct condition.
Provide support to drivers with inquiries related to yard logistics.
Maintain a professional demeanor representing the Company.
Conduct daily inspections of trucks and trailers, ensuring safety compliance and reporting maintenance issues.
Perform daily yard checks to maintain accuracy.
Complete all necessary documentation promptly.

What You'll Bring

Minimum of 2-3 years of recent yard driving experience.
Flexible availability for mandatory overtime and weekend shifts.
Possession of a valid driver's license.
Demonstrated work ethic and teamwork skills, including attention to detail, safety awareness, courtesy, punctuality, and customer focus.

ONLY CANDIDATES WITH 2-3+ YEARS OF YARD DRIVING EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED.

This position is for the 2nd shift from Monday to Saturday (1:00 pm - 9:30 pm) with the possibility of overtime.
