The EHS Specialist supports field operations and maintenance activities by implementing and managing environmental health and safety programs.
Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with federal state and local regulations promoting a strong safety culture across all work sites conducting job hazard analyses safety observations and field audits leading or assisting with incident investigations root-cause analysis and corrective action tracking delivering safety training coaching employees on safe work practices and regulatory requirements overseeing spill prevention waste handling hazardous materials management environmental reporting providing guidance on air emissions water discharge compliance stormwater or erosion control supporting environmental monitoring sampling inspections participating in pre-job planning tailgate meetings permitting processes monitoring contractor compliance coordinating with project managers supervisors creating safety plans emergency evacuation plans confined space plans maintaining safety metrics incident logs inspection reports regulatory documentation assisting customer-required reporting auditing performance reviews qualifications education experience certifications skills knowledge problem-solving communication proficiency Microsoft Office Google software travel work environment PPE respirators FR clothing fall protection extended hours critical operations emergencies
