Overview:

The selected candidate will be joining our client's team of engineers responsible for designing and developing products for aerospace and military weapon systems, which include missiles, guided rockets, smart munitions, and more.

As a Sr.

Reliability and Safety Engineer for Aerospace Industry, you will independently perform system safety analysis, maintainability analysis, reliability predictions, and work with the IPT to identify safety-critical items and offer design alternatives.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in New Product Development within the aerospace/military industry, electromechanical design and testing, and is knowledgeable with reliability analysis tools like Relex, Weibull ++, and Reliasoft XFRACAS.

Key Responsibilities:
Generate reliability, maintainability, and system safety reports for IPT and customer review.
Consider and balance cost, technical, schedule, and risk.
Review and provide RMS/C analysis on customer reliability, safety, and maintainability requirements.
Perform system safety analysis per MIL-STD-882 and SAE ARP4761 and maintainability analysis per MIL-STD-470.
Independently perform reliability predictions per MIL-HDBK-217.
Collaborate with a team of technicians and engineers to ensure system design meets reliability and safety expectations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering
3+ years of experience within the aerospace industry that includes Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety engineering analysis
Ability to work closely with a team of engineers and technicians.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Strong documentation and writing skills.
