    Description

    Duties * Serving as Watch Officer and Information Security Advisor to maintain Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4) and AISR situational awareness in support of command and control (C2).

    * Coordinating authorized service interruptions (ASI) for the theater, to include all events impacting Command, Component, operating and tactical locations.

    * Providing technical oversight to external collaboration of Information Assurance (IA) security processes to ensure effective support of theater networks.

    * Developing and implement Information systems security programs, policies, procedures and tools. * Providing technical information and customer support to senior leaders on network operations. * Providing technical oversight of branch information security services and customer support initiatives. Position requires continuous rotational shift work in a 24 hours-per-day, 7 days-per-week AFRICOM Network Control Center (ANCC) watch.     Specialized and Other Experience:

    One year of specialized experience which includes: overseeing information security and network systems to include: briefing senior level leadership, applying security practices such as Authorized Service interruptions (ASI) for the theater and developing guidance and/or instructions such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs).

    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11.

    Grade Requirement:

    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

    Additional information * Direct deposit of pay is required. * U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement. * Locality pay does not apply in the overseas area.
