    We are seeking experienced leaders to serve as

    Renewable Energy Engineering Project Managers and Seller/Doers on a national basis


    to grow our renewable engineering practice and support a variety of projects from concept to completion in a dynamic consulting environment.

    With decades of national experience, Tetra Tech offers a wealth of technical knowledge and a strong understanding renewable energy development.

    From planning and siting to operations and maintenance, Tetra Tech supports our clients in developing renewable projects from concept to completion.

    For this position, location is flexible for the qualified candidate.


    Successful candidate will have a strong technical background and demonstrated leadership experience with engineering and design for commercial and utility scale solar PV, solar plus storage, and stand-alone battery energy storage, with wind energy experience a plus.

    This strategic candidate will be responsible for developing client and engineering opportunities, developing project teams working with multiple Tetra Tech engineering resources, and supporting the project execution on engineering activities across a variety of renewable project types and services.


    The Seller/Doer primary focus will be client business development for all engineering services that will support the development, design, construction, and operations of solar, battery storage, and wind projects including identifying the project engineering leads and support staff.

    Services may include, but not limited to, due diligence, feasibility, conceptual design, detailed design, owners engineering, and independent engineering.

    Our ideal candidate will have pre-existing client relationships and a proven track record of winning work within the renewable energy market.

    The ideal candidate will be able to lead by example, understand the client's needs and perspectives, and be in alignment of the scope, budget, and schedule with the client.


    This is a strategic growth opportunity within Tetra Tech's Energy Program and this individual will assist and establish the strategic direction and growth of Tetra Tech's renewable energy and engineering practice.


    Our ideal candidate will have the experience and proven track record of building teams and winning work with the opportunity to develop and expand our team of engineering staff while supporting multiple locations across Tetra Tech.


    Responsibilities:

    Business Development:


    The Project Manager/Seller-Doer will develop new client accounts; work with existing Tetra Tech account managers and the Energy Program market leads to expand existing client accounts.

    ·

    Develop, sustain, and grow renewable energy clients and key accounts.
    ·

    Support building and developing a team of high performers of engineering staff focused on renewables.
    ·


    Participate in client marketing and business development activities which consists of proposal development, technical presentations, trade show attendance, client meetings, and the development of marketing materials.

    ·

    Collaborate nationally across the Tetra Tech organization to identify and develop project teams.


    Strategic Thinking:
    ·


    Identify trends and work with Energy Practice Leaders to develop a long-term view of the renewable energy industry, market, and client base.

    ·

    Identify new service areas in response to changes in the market and service area opportunities.
    ·

    Innovate and enhance Tetra Tech's capabilities, emerging practices, integrated approach to improve its competitive advantage in the market.
    ·


    Ability to create innovative and effective client solutions that are aligned with the fast-paced shifts in the renewable energy market due to technology, climate change, greenhouse gas emissions, resiliency, and sustainability.

    ·

    Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices.


    Leadership:
    ·


    Working closely with Operations Management, Energy Practice Leaders, and other Business Unit Leaders to deliver safe, quality, profitable, and sustainable projects, and services for our clients.

    ·

    Coaching and mentoring to expand our renewable engineering services, providing competitive and profitable services and projects.
    ·

    Direct and manage marketing and business development within the renewable energy practice through collaboration and building intercompany relations.
    ·

    Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional, safety standards, practices, codes.
    ·


    Provide leadership for project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.


    Engineering:
    ·


    Perform various engineering and consulting-related duties supporting the development, analysis, engineering, design, permitting, financial aspects, and construction associated with renewable energy projects.

    ·

    A strong working knowledge of commonly used engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, procedures, and specifications in renewable energy project engineering.
    ·

    In depth knowledge of solar PV systems and battery energy storage systems.
    ·

    Support the development of engineering technical standards, educational materials, and templates.
    ·


    Serve as a Project Manager for technical projects, engage with clients to identify new work opportunities, prepare proposals, cost estimates, establish and formulate technical approaches, and direct project teams.

    ·

    Serve as a subject matter expert for clients, project managers, engineering, and non-engineering technical staff .

    • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for major projects simultaneously.
    ·

    Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders.


    Requirements:
    ·

    B.S. in Electrical or other electrical related engineering discipline from an accredited university.
    ·

    Minimum 10-15 years of relevant work experience working on solar, battery energy storage system and/or wind project development.
    ·

    Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
    ·

    Working knowledge of all aspects of engineering, planning, design, and construction related to renewable energy projects.
    ·

    Electrical engineering experience including site layout, interconnect, collector system design, transmission, substation for renewable energy projects
    ·

    Microgrid experience is a plus.
    ·


    Proven success in providing leadership for project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities, and project milestones.

    ·


    Efficient time management –handle multiple projects simultaneously and with minimal supervision, including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet all deadlines.

    ·


    Strong leadership, diplomatic, and motivational teambuilding skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations.

    ·

    Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
    ·

    Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives.
    ·

    Experience preparing and submitting budget proposals and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessary.
    ·

    Experience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule, and within budget.
    ·


    Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and presentation skills to convey technical information to clients and business and financial reports to management.

    ·

    Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
    ·

    Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    ·

    A Master's degree in a business or engineering discipline.
    ·

    Experience with DAS, SCADA, metering, protection, and control relays.
    ·

    Substation and high voltage experience.


    Compensation:
    Salary commensurate with experience.

    Salary Range:
    $140,000 - $200,000 Yr.
