    About the Role:


    The Food Safety Technician, under the guidance of the Food Safety & Quality Supervisor, ensures alignment of the system with Ferrero food safety and quality requirements.

    This role is onsite, day shift, Monday through Friday with a standard schedule of 7am to 3pm.

    Main Responsibilities:


    Guarantee the yearly reviews and alignment of Food Safety Plans with Ferrero requirements

    Provide support to the facility to facilitate the implementation maintenance and audit of good manufacturing practices GMPs

    Improve the Control Documentation Management in the facility

    Monitoring the results of glass wood and plastic checks and guarantee the closure of corrective actions

    Improve the Management of Foreign Bodies in the facility

    Support to Root Cause Analysis and Corrective and Preventive Actions implementation

    Guarantee a proper management of CAPAs to guarantee improvements

    Enters transcribes records stores and maintains information in written or electronic form

    Communicates and interacts with Coworkers Supervisors and the Leadership Team if needed for Quality or Food Safety related topics such as Changes in the Process or Specifications new Procedures potential issues etc in a proactive and organized approach

    Supports operators to verify that the activities in the floor are aligned with Food Safety requirements autocontrol activities are put in place correctly

    Assist with tracking trending KPIs under the direction of the Food Safety Supervisor

    Who we are looking for:


    Required

    Associate degree or higher in Food Science or a related field with 1-3 years of relevant work experience in managing a food safety system

    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint

    Experience in using mathematics and statistical analysis on data and results trending

    Understanding of industry related documents

    Preferred

    Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices GMP and HARPC

    Food manufacturing experience

    PCQI certification

    HACCP SQF FSSC 22000 experience
