Description

The City of Redwood Falls is seeking a full-time Accountant.

Preferred candidates will have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field with a minimum of two years relevant experience working in governmental accounting or finance roles.

Candidates with an associate degree in accounting and equivalent experience may be considered.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Finance Director with managing all City financial operations including financial transactions, audit preparation, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with government regulations and accounting standards.

Candidates should have the ability to work independently by displaying problem solving and decision-making characteristics.

Must be knowledgeable of current computer software, hardware, and applications. This is an exempt/salaried position. The salary range is $56,070 – $68,935/year with an excellent benefit package.
